Kathy Jablonski:This occurred to me after the discussion about the vignette I did using Towards and Away and thought I’d mention it. I recalled at the outset of the seminar (4 years ago?) the challenge Patrick posed to put on hold “assumptions” that the concepts of BT are factual,(even though we all believe them to be true), and not automatically use them on the diagram. e.g to avoid use of e.g. reciprocity, cut off, conflict, projection process, anxiety etc and instead use objective “atomic moves” , on parallel with concepts in biology like “approach and avoid”, which were then named Toward and Away. The goal would be as I understand it by going more granular in terms of “moves” that could move in the direction demonstrating the concepts are real.
