I have created an exhaustive, 100% traceable, literature review of passages that indicate the definition of terms for the SARF model. Every passage in each source that could pertain to these terms is indexed, coded, and listed under each term. This is the first such literature review of its kind of Bowen Theory and is an essential reference for understanding theoretical terms when applying theory.
This review focuses on the terms used in the SARF data model in particular, which the Family Diagram app and btcopilot project is now 100% aligned to.
This exhaustive review was conducted with a combination of:
- Previous manual exhaustive review from my doctoral dissertation
- Domain expertise in Bowen theory training and literature
- Doctoral-level expertise in qualitative research methods
- AI Context Architecture
- Agentic AI-assisted search with human-in-the-loop
- Software Architecture Expertise
I will certainly re-run this exhaustive literature review methodology on the eight concepts of Bowen Theory. It cost about $20 in agentic server time using Claude Code. Well worth it.
