Dr. Laura Havstad has produced the first animated case formulation. She entered this case into the app having gathered all of the data in a single, 60-minute family evaluation interview for her dissertation work in the 1970’s. Dr. Havstad had gone through the case many times over the decades, reporting that coding it into the app enabled her to make simple yet foundational observations from the original data.
The subject in the case, an adult daughter, had a shift in the emotional process within the family that, according to Bowen Theory, might have enabled her to achieve a weight loss goal.
